Community Empowerment
Community is at the heart of the Denver Summit FC stadium project and reflects Mortenson’s core value of authentically investing in the places where we build. In partnership with DSFC, our team is proud to support the WENU Community Benefits Agreement — helping ensure the stadium’s transformative impact and delivering a true community asset for Denver.

Community Partner Spotlight: Women's Foundation of Colorado

The Women’s Foundation of Colorado (WFCO) catalyzes community transformation through research, public policy advocacy, grantmaking, and philanthropy cultivation to advance and accelerate economic opportunities for Colorado women and their families. The organization operates from a foundation of unwavering belief in infinite possibilities, recognizing that all women and girls possess the innate potential and power to succeed. During Women in Construction Week (March 2-6, 2026), Mortenson will be honoring WFCO’s commitment to helping women thrive.
Small Business Spotlight: Gratacon

Gratacon, an MWBE‑certified small business and our associate partner, continues to demonstrate what it truly means to build with purpose. Their commitment to community goes far beyond the projects they deliver—it extends to the people and places they uplift along the way.
Last year, members of the Gratacon team joined colleagues from Gracon LLC on a transformative volunteer trip to Mexico through Youth With A Mission’s Homes of Hope program. Together, they built a new home—in just two days—for a deserving family experiencing housing insecurity.
Gratacon is a partner who builds exceptional projects—but even more importantly, builds community. Their work, whether at home or abroad, reflects their belief that construction is not just about structures, but about service, stewardship, and creating lasting impact.
Sustainability
The Denver Summit FC Stadium is slated to be the second all-electric stadium in the United States. In addition to pursuing LEED certification, the project will be constructed under the framework of the Contractor’s Commitment. The Contractor’s Commitment is a nationally recognized framework that empowers builders to lead with sustainability by reducing carbon emissions, improving jobsite wellness, managing water responsibly, and making smarter material and procurement decisions. Created by contractors for contractors, it serves as an industry benchmark for what it means to be a truly green builder—providing clear best practices for planning, implementing, tracking, and reporting environmental and workforce impacts. By applying these standards to the Denver Summit FC stadium project, the team can deliver a high‑performance, low‑impact facility that prioritizes worker health, protects natural resources, and strengthens community trust while setting a new bar for responsible sports‑venue construction.
