ABOUT
Mortenson
Denver Summit FC Stadium
Mortenson is a family-owned American company established in 1954. Mortenson has spent more than four decades in Denver, completing over 700 local projects. Supported by the strength of the entire organization, Mortenson’s dedicated sports group is ranked among the nation’s top sports contractors and has experience on over 300 sports + entertainment projects valued at $20 billion.
Mortenson will deliver the stadium in association with Gratacon, an MWBE-certified Woman-Owned Small Business general contractor serving as the associate partner on the project. The collaboration brings together two Colorado-based firms committed to excellence and innovation in construction delivery.
The Mortenson team will deliver a state-of-the-art stadium, establishing a permanent home for Denver Summit FC, the 16th expansion team in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). Located in one of Denver's most transformative redevelopment sites near the intersection of I-25, Santa Fe Drive, and South Broadway, the stadium will serve as the anchor of a new sports and entertainment district, featuring an open-air, sweeping canopy design. The historic venue will be the second women's-specific professional soccer stadium in the United States. The stadium is scheduled to open in time for the Denver Summit FC's NWSL inaugural 2028 season.
